Overview
Celebrate Bethlehem’s rich Moravian heritage with the sweetest competition in town — our first-ever Moravian Sugar Cake Competition, held during the World Heritage Community Celebration! Whether you are a home baker perfecting a family recipe or a professional bakery showcasing your craft, this friendly contest is your chance to share your sugar cake skills with the community.
During the celebration, bakers will deliver their entries along with their recipes outside of Central Moravian’s Old Chapel. A panel of judges will sample and score each cake. Following the Community Lovefeast at 5:30PM, winners will be crowned on the Church Green Stage — earning prizes, bragging rights, and a place in Bethlehem’s baking history!
